Pastor
Pastor Larry Richmond came to Connecticut in 1981 to plant Anchor Baptist Church. After a six month internship, the Church held its first services on April 4, 1982 at Gales Ferry Community Center. The Church held its first services at its present location February 23, 1997. The Richmond's moved to Connecticut from Chattanooga, Tennessee where Pastor Richmond attended seminary at Temple Baptist Theological Seminary in the years 1976 - 1981.
While serving with the U.S. Air Force at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas, Pastor Richmond accepted Jesus Christ as Savior through the influence of his roommate and his wife to be, Evalynn. Pastor met his wife at First Bible Baptist Church in Wichita and both began serving the Lord together. They were married November 22, 1975.
The Richmond's have three married children and eight grandchildren. Their daughter Stacia and her husband Will live in Preston, Connecticut with their three children Lydia, Samuel and Benjamin. Their son Nathan and his wife Ginny live in Greenville, South Carolina with their two children Ellie and Chase. Their son Daniel and his wife Alischa live in Carmel, Indiana with their three children Rence, Kashton, and Eden.
